lisa v.Last Friday we were in Ventura for Ashley’s appointment. She is now 10, SWCAH. She grew two thirds of an inch. That makes me very happy but her weight is still creeping up and the endo said that the cortef will not help her so he does not want to switch her back to cortef he wants her to stay on the dex.
My problem is that he said that i need to cut back on what she eats and that she needs to be more active. The girl is active everyday, dripping with sweat when i pick her up, non stop sports. We bike two miles on saturdays and two miles on sundays. She eats very little and I don’t buy junk for them. Things like McDonalds or Pizza is a once in a while treat. But the endo said that i need to cut more out of her diet. So I told him that when she dies from starvation he’ll be the first one I call and sue. Ashley does not want to eat at all because she thinks she is fat. She is pudgy, but not fat. And she is certainly not the largest in her class. She weighs 90 pounds.
I’m not sure what to do, Ashley has had a negative response to what the doctor said and I don’t know what more to cut out from what she eats.
