could the swelling be water retention?  Is the swelling all over your body or just in the face.  I’ve heard of something called Cushing’s disease where I think just the face and body is real swollen but not the arms and legs.  Not sure on that but I would see a different doctor just like you are going to do on Friday.  Good luck and keep me posted.
