Julia in CTHi Laura,
Chelsea is 9 and has been taking her own meds for almost a year. She has the bottles by her bed, and is pretty good about remembering them. I do check with her about each dose. The one she has the most trouble remembering is the afternoon dose. She is usually busy playing or something at the time that one is due, so I have to be careful to watch for that one. She gets very upset if she forgets a pill....I have to remind her that it’s not all her responsibility, the she is just a little girl and that Mommy needs to help her remember still. She is a bit of a perfectionist, so if it is not exactly on time she gets upset. I have her pill schedule programmed into my Palm Pilot using a program called ontimeRX....an alarm goes off when her meds are due and that helps me to help her remember. She is really good about it.
