lisa v.we see Dr. Pitucheewanonont at the Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. He also has clinic in Ventura that we go to because it is not so far away. Ashley takes 0.5 cc’s at 7AM and 0.7cc’s at 7PM and one florinef pill at 7PM.
I have spoken to Ashley and I have told her that she is not fat and that she will need to continue eating. My next door neighbor is a nutritionist and I will probably ask her to come over during the weekend and talk to Ashley and myself. She knows about CAH.
This doctor is an excellent doctor. I have not had any complaints about him until he started talking about her weight. Now, english was not his first language and I did inform him that the word "fat" is a poor choice of words and that he needs to really think before he speaks. He knows where I stand with Ashley and he knows that I do not think she is fat. We have cut back on seconds at our meals and that’s all I’m going to do for now.
I’ll give you guys the breakdown of what she eats on a daily basis, I also gave this to the endo but he seemed to think it was too much (quack!)
Breakfast: whole wheat toast with "I can’t believe it’s not butter", one cup of ovaltine in 1% milk.
Lunch: I have small tupperware containers that I put peaches, mandarin oranges and strawberries in. 1 bottled water.
After School: At the sitter’s house she will have one apple, water and string cheese.
Dinner: Any meat we have is either baked or broiled, vegetable, water or sugar free koolaide and salad.
Snack: Bowl of strawberries with Cool Whip Lite. Milk.
I don’t think she’s eating that much and she still complains that she’s hungry but I haven’t given her more than that. This is what it’s like everyday.
Thank you everyone for your input.
