I was on Dex for a number of years and it really piled the pounds on. It also increased my appetite. Don’t forget that Dex is a lot stronger than Prednisone - has she tried that. I also found that with the dex I was actually being over supressed.

Sorry to alarm you but I really cringe when I hear about young children being given dex.
