Ok so I forgot what I was doing. No sleep in 24 hours will do that to you. My daughter has the salt wasting form of CAH. She is going to be 8 in a couple of months. She had a harsh start to her school year last year, and then this year.  I was told most everyone has a hard start because they all have to get used to eachother’s germs again. What a crazy thing. My daughter misses a lot of school when she is sick because I keep her home maybe an extra day then the average parent keeps their child home. That is with or without the CAH, kids should be kept home when they are sick. So many parents have sent their children in sick with fevers. It makes me sick. But to get back on the subject. I am shocked that she needed a port. Has she been oversuppressed since she has been so sick? That is what happened to my daughter’s levels after a harsh winter fighting viruses. What does your endo. think of having to use a port because she has got so sick? Is he or she concerned? I can feel your frustration. I would be so tapped out. My daughter too is a perfectionist. Like her father. (ha ha ha) Ok so am I. It is so hard to tell a person to relax when they are driven like that with their emotions. I have tried to emphasize to my daughter that we are not perfect in this world and that is ok. We need to make room for some failure because failure doesn’t care if there is room or not, it happens. We learn from our mistakes. But still, that is so hard to convey to someone that strives for perfection.

Another thing is, they can’t tell you to homeschool. I wouldn’t if she is thriving there. Homeschooling should be the choice of the parent. Not a school. Unless they find there is a reason she is having a medical problem that is underlying that keeps her from recovering from viruses. You need to look into that. I will send positive thoughts and prayers your daughter’s way.
