AimeeDear Kelly,
You matter and can make a difference in this world.
Your Endo and parents can help when it comes to the excessive hair. If the blood work is where the Endo feels it is correct and it could be and that’s even with the hair there are ways to deal with it with your parents and Endos guidance.
There is a prescription cream from the endo and with your parents help there are products they can get for you at the drug store. I think you are super for asking for help and I would also call your Endo or have your mother/father call and say my name is _____I’m a patient of ______I would please like help with my excessive hair. Have him return my message to my mother/father or me the patient as what to do thank you. I congratulate you for wanting to handle all this at 14 because I know it is difficult and maybe the endo could also suggest a way to help you get through feelings of depression?
How is school going? Plans for college or tech school yet? Maybe volunteering with other kids might take away some depression? Joined any clubs/teams at school yet? As for clothes what about OLD NAVY? LEARNER/NEW YORK NEW YORK? American Eagel? Exercise? What about walking after diner with your Mom/Dad or Both? (Always walk with someone) Losing weight? tons of veggies, fruits, gallon of water a day and consistent exercise everyday which also helps with some depression .
If you can’t talk with your parents or Endo about any of this? Write them a letter and give it to them.
Good luck Kiddo and YOU CAN DO IT!!! WE CAN DO ANYTHING!
Aimee
