Chris DAs others have said, the signs include failure to gain weight, hyperpigmentation (skin more brown than would be expected by parents), and sleeping alot.
Depending on the child, the signs can be very mild even if the danger is great. We had no clue anything was wrong with my son, yet his potassium and sodium were so out of wack they told us we were lucky he did not have a heart attack. He was diagnosed and hospitalized at 7 days old. They said he would have died within a day or two.
If you have any concerns, please work with your family to get him checked out. Although it is unlikely he has CAH, if he does, it can be fatal very quickly.
Good luck and keep us posted.
