Nana I am very sorry to hear of your loss. And I dont know if this will help or not but here goes. My SWCAH daughter was about 2 1/2 when she went into an adrenal crisis. I was not aware but she was suffering from a bladder infection. (very prevelent in girls with SWCAH) She went into her crisis and we lived right down the road from the hospital. Against my better judgement today, I did not give her the shot but chose to take her to the ER. No waiting around so I was thankfull for that but she went into a hypoglycemic seizure. I was ignorant at time but when a child goes into an adrenal crisis, the blood sugar level also pluments. She almost died until they checked her sugar levels. She was in a lathargic condition for 2 days. No response even during the spinal tap. She was conscious but would not react to anything. I am thankful the Lord was watching over her that day and continues to do so. Researching this disorder I have found more fatalities than I actually thought there were. Again, I am very sorry to hear that about your loss.
