From all that I have read, adrenal crisis is deadly.  I’m so sorry about your grandson.  I know that an illness can come out of know where, and cause crisis.  My son has been close once.  He only had a virus of some sort that caused a high fever, and he became lethargic before I knew it.  We gave him his shot, and rushed him to the E.R. where he stayed several hours and received IV fluids.  So yes you do need to be precautious with your other grandson as far as illnesses are concerned.
