Like I have said before. Take 30 people and survey them off the street. Out of those 30 people a percentage will be gay. Either way you slice it, a percentage of the population will be gay. What if they did a survey on diabetics, and a percentage turned out gay in which they would? Would we label diabetics as having gay tendancies? Or people with M.S. or people with glacoma, or........The list can go on. CARES Foundation has an article in their Spring 2005 newsletter. It states that their findings show that although they typical classic CAH girl does prefer to play with boy toys, they do not feel they are boys. You can link yourself from here to the CARES Foundation website and read this article. SO there are many different findings.

I myself have had more men friends that girlfriends through high school and there after. If you are judging her "gayness" on that, then you may be way off. Always growing up I got along with more boys than girls. I played football, and carried my own sorta say. Having so many boyfriends instead of girlfriends intimidated my boyfriends and led to eventual break ups through high school. Men are just that way. They didn’t like the fact I was close with another guy and not just them. But it was only friendship to me. But IF you feel it is other things than go with your parent gut. Not because you read somewhere that CAH women all wind up gay. Go to the controversy board and read "Debbie" post about NOT being gay and being a SWCAH patient. Can your daughter be gay? Why sure there are people in this world gay. Your best thing to do which I assume you have always done with your daughter is being open to her thoughts and feelings. Ask yourself if it would change the way you love her. If it does, you need to rethink your life. I always said if a kid of mine grew up gay I would be devastated. Not because I wouldn’t love them any less because they are gay. Just because it is a harsh world out there. Being gay isn’t acceptable in most places. I would be sad to know their future would be a tough obstacle to live. That is why you need to love them as much as you can.
