Can anyone tell me if puberty seems to start younger in CAH patients? My daughter will be approaching 8 and I know puberty signs can start popping up now. I just want to not freak out thinking puberty is starting too early. I haven’t notices anything yet but I know this summer will bring about changes as they always do in kids. The summer sun seems to make them grow like weeds. She always seemed way ahead of her age but lately it has been so noticeable. She has begged me to go clothes shopping at "Limited Too". This is from the child I couldn’t make stand still to shop for school clothes a year ago. So I have to start getting in the right frame of mind and educate myself on puberty that will soon be coming. I have read here a couple of times that even though all bone age is on the mark, and levels have been good, some sign of puberty has popped up. But I never read the outcome of these posts. Do they let them go because that is natural, or when do they draw the line and say Lupron shots need to start? I know every woman is different. When I started my monthly cycle at 14, someone else did not. Do you factor in that too?
