OK I am going to write what I think and hope not to offend anyone! But it is kind of hard not too. First of all CAH has NOTHING to do with being lesbian or homosexual. This comes from the brain not the adrenal glands. Hormones can do strange things to ones thinking process.... I know I am a 54 year old going through hormonal hell. But it ... doesn’t make me want to run out and kiss a woman. I do think that women in general are capable of being sensitive to other womans needs..EMOTIONALLY because we have the common bond of being able to communicate with each other much better than with men. (why would we keep girlfriends for years?) I love my husband but if I want SOMEONE to REALLY KNOW what I am feeling.. I will call my girlfriend/sisters/Red Hatter ect. We share an inner strength that allows us to have  female relationships. Now when I want male companionship and LOVE and intimacy I will come to my husband. (also he is aware of everything else) But, how many times have our husbands said "Why don’t you run it by Susie/Jane  to see what she thinks?" Because they know we have this insight and don’t mind sharing our emotions with others. Now as far as someone with CAH having feelings of being a lesbian....I believe that if the seed of doubt is planted someone would ALWAYS wonder.

If a child with attention deficit disorder and learning disability is constantly told they are dumb or stupid and can’t do anything. Guess what?They will grow up as an adult and tell everyone they are dumb and stupid and seek low paying easy jobs because this is what they think they are capable of. Low self esteem/self worth/ very little sense of self. Why ? Because they were told this...SAME with CAH or diabetics or anyone else. You are what you are made to feel you are. Tell a young girl she has the biological makeup and genes and hormones to be lesbian and  Yep.. You got it she will do what is expected of her during her growing years. She will explore the sexual preference she BELIEVES her body has told her to ...BASED on what she has heard through Aunts / friends and whispers behind closed doors that were not meant for her to hear. Reports  and documents that gay rights groups and intersex fanatics have searched to make themselves feel part of the common ground of life. They need to do this because they have the need to justify there gender in life. (and they should not have too) Ask ANY parent and they will tell you this is there worst nightmare for there child to be gay. Does it mean they are unloved ...of course not  if anything we will love them more as we are aware of the hardships in life they will face in the unaccepting world of difference. I believe that Cah is an adrenal gland disorder and as long as it is clumped with intersex reports and documentaries and surveys. The stigma will continue to grow out of fear of the unknown of this disorder. It seems NO ONE wants to take a DEFINITE stand on the non lesbian issues of CAH because of ticking off the ones that promote lesbian/intersex rights.  If this disorder had NO genital  deformity’s. All of this would be a not be an issue. WHY ? Because the lesbians would not compare genitals and consider the phallus a penis ( IT IS A CLITORIS ) for there own  views of sexual preference.  No one could say they are intersexed because there would be NO organ to argue about. This debate is not going to end anytime soon and as long as we ALLOW theses groups to use there propaganda to justify there means and use our childrens deformity to promote awareness for federal funding for there programs we will be defending our childrens sexuality and gender until hell freezes over. For the record  we need to make hospitals/ Doctors /  medical profession in general that classifying CAH as anything other than an adrenal disorder is just plain wrong. Will they get it? Probably not until it touches there personal life in someway .
