JessicaThanks for the postive outlook on the future. My 17 month old daughter has SWCAH & in no way do I feel she has a disease. Like you said, I too view it as a condition that will influence her life but not control it. I have stopped reading the controversy board all together..it’s just a negative place..Yea it’s controversal and all I see is angry people getting even more angry and mean.
I use this as a place to find out the best way to handle the road blocks CAH places infront of us... How to carry the solu-cortef shot...traveling on a plane with the shot, etc. Also, when I hear parents & people with CAH talking about being avtive in sports I remind myself that the only limits my daughter has are the ones I set for her. I also know that sometimes we need to vent to people who understand..so we come here to express our frustrations.
I am glad to hear that CAH is only a small part of your life & not what defines you as a person
