Thanks for sharing your story with us.  I have 2 sons with CAH and they are 14 and 10.  I am raising them exactly like it sounds like you were raised.  CAH is no excuse.  The participate in every sport available to them.  The spend nights away from home, go to camp, go to th e beach, etc.  Anything their classmates can do , they do!  We have been very fortunate to have great drs. along the way that have kept us on the right track.  Hope everything continues to go well for you.
