Hi Valerie,

How are you??? My oldest son Breadon plays baseball through our local sports organization but we were told that no insurance either.  Actually, Braedon also fell on the school equipment at school and needed stitches on his forehead and my insurance paid for it.

The baseball organization does make us fill out medical papers on our kids...info like insurance, doctors, meds etc.... They really wouldn’t be able to use it if something happened at the field anyway because they never have it on hand.  I think someone would just have to call 911 and my son would have to wait for an ambulance. Now, we have gotten to know most of the coaches so I think we would be able to ask one of them to help our kid out if need be.

Acutally Jackson ( almost 4 now) plays baseball with the Y and there was one time that Scott and I couldn’t go. I had surgery and Braedon was in playoffs with my husband as a coach.  Jackson went with my neighbor and I just gave her his shot and told her to call 911 and then me if something happened. Luckily all was well but I’m sure when the 4 start playing sports I won’t be able to always be there so I will have to rely on friends, coaches and hope that all goes well.

Hope Ben has a great time playing golf!!!

Sandra
