re: ID Bracelets

I have an ID bracelet and my doctor never reccommended one.  I did it because I was worried at some point an accident would occur and I wouldn’t be able to let people know what condition I have or what meds I take.  It maybe silly but I’ve always been concerned about drug interactions too.  I’m not trying to scare you with this but there is always the possibility he may be involved in a car wreck or something of that nature where you are not able to communicate his problem and needs to those trying to assist.  The company I ordered my bracelet from gives you a member number and stores  infomation concerning physicians, medications, and personal contacts and has a 24hr phone service.  This way the person turns my bracelet over sees my condition, member number, and the phone number.  I need all of this to feel at ease.  Others never get one for themselves or child.  With Cameron being SWCAH I think I’ld get one but you have to take into consideration that I’m only LOCAH and feel the need for one.  You may want to ask the endo for his exact reasoning behind the ID bracelet idea.  I hope this helps.
