ID bracelets are common and necessary. The Cody Cares bracelets seem to be common. With the medic alert bracelets there is an annual fee which some people object to.

Also, some people use the words "adrenal insufficency" rather than "congenital adrenal hyperplasia" on the bracelet, since a google search on CAH can return a lot of stuff on intersex conditions which may be embarassing for a kid in school. It seems pretty common for the bracelet to read "adrenal insufficency, treat with stress dose steroids" and have doctor and parent contact info.
