re: circadian dosing help please!!

We’ve recently switched our 7 yr old SW daughter to circadian dosing, and after much research by us and our endo, here is how we dose:

3am - 5mg

9am - 2.5 mg

3pm - 2.5 mg

9pm - 2.5 mg

Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t part of the reason for following this type of scheduling, to maintain a more consistant level of meds in the blood, mimicking the body’s own production, and ultimately resulting in optimal growth and health? Why then, would your endo encourage you to give the meds at such irregular times of the day? Shouldn’t it be every 6 hrs?? That large gap with no meds from 5:30 pm to 3 am would worry me. Also, from my understanding, our bodies’ surge of hormones usually takes place in the early hours of the morning - aprox. 3-4 hours before we wake up - so giving the largest dose at 3am (or abouts) makes the most sense.

Hope you can get it figured out! Good luck!!
