Hi Darlene, i have a daughter and i noticed she began getting her first cavity at about 2 years old, maybe sooner. My daughter at the time was getting her hydrocortisone compounded and they would add a flavoring because it is very bitter. Well the flavoring had a lot of sugar in it. But, I have noticed with my daughter she is very prone to cavities. The endo recommended she get sealants on her molars. One cavity and one filling and one crown cost us 250.00 and that was with insurance. The good thing was get this, the dentist that ended up doing the procedure also had CAH.  We did not give my daughter the shot before hand, we tripled her dose of hydrocortisone. They gave her some sort of medicine to get her to sleep and the funny thing is, she never went to sleep. She was alert during the whole thing. They were very surprised because this stuff is supposed to knock you out. Not her. They did give her some shots in her mouth do numb and that worked great. The only problem was afterward because her mouth was numb she ended up biting her lip severly. She was hungry and we went out to eat two hours later. She was still numb. As careful as we were she still ended up literally shewing on the inside of her lip, she did not feel it thank god. But, it did take a while for it to heal up. It looked terrible. I recommed soup.
