According to Dr New, starting prenatal treatment before week nine is good enough.  You are obviously not from the United States, as they don’t suggest lowering the dose after the first trimester here.  Though, I am aware that there is a study going on in France or somewhere else.

I know it is expected that if treatment is stopped early, the internal organs might turn out OK in an affected girl, but I was hoping to hear from  someone who actually experienced this happening.  At least Dr New, with all the research she has done, wasn’t able to point me to anything concrete.
