The urine testing is done at home. When my 8y/o gets up in the am he voids(urinates) in the toilet. That is the start time for testing. He then voids in a collection container for the next 24hrs. This container will need to be refrigerated in between. His last void in the container is exactly 24hrs from the time he went in the toilet at the start of collection. You will then just have to take the sample with the order to your local lab within 2 hrs. of the end time. It’s that simple and doesn’t hurt a bit. Our endo. also said this testing was more accurate than lab draws because it is a collection of levels for an entire 24 hr. period.
