re: re: re: Talking with the local Ems

I am like Cassy from a small home town. They are all volunteer. I talked with our EMS team when we first moved here and think I will pay them another call since it is volunteer and people can change. They told me they do not carry cortisol either. AND they wouldn’t be able to inject MY Solu Cortef because it is a prescription and not THEIR drugs they carry. Go figure. They said there was NO EMT that would do that if they found her in a car accident with the Solu Cortef in her medic bag. It is a liability thing here. I am not sure if that is everywhere though. Hey, we still have an Amish horse and buggy that travel around here so we may not be totally up to speed on these things. So I agree with everyone else, call your local EMTs and alert them to your child’s emergency needs. I am sure something can be worked out. Thanks for the reminder. I am calling today.
