Hi all, I just wanted to share my experience with the ems last Saturday. My car was t-boned by a GMC truck, I was pretty beaten up. (still am) Anyway the emt on the ambulance responded to me saying that an adrenal insuffiency wasn’t anything. I said yes it is! I could barely talk as my jaws took a severe blow from the air bags, but I spoke clearly and slowly to explain what cah was, and the fact that I have been on catabolic steroids for many years and that my adrenal glands will not being able to handle the stress of the trauma on their own. The nurse at the hospital said I didn’t look like I was going into a crisis. My blood pressure was checked only once in the 5 hours I was there. They did not seem to care or think I needed any stress dose or shot, so I stress dosed with my own medicine once I was able to get out of the neck brace and straps. No bones were broken. (thank God) because it would have been a bad situation. I was the only person in the car, and I am so happy for that because my children would have been killed. They always sit on the passenger side of the car. My girl in the front and my boy in the back. The passengers side was totaled and glass from the side mirror was embeded in the front seat. Thank God my daughter was not there! Well, so much for a short story :o) take care
