Yes, Chris, I do believe that your request is legit.  I don’t know if you have been contacting "regular" doctors, or specifically pediatric endocrinologists, and that is why you are running against a dead end.  It’s the peds endos who would be most likely to have what you want.  To that end, you might also try the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society www.lwpes.org .  You could certainly start with their list of officers. 

As a parent, I know I --personally---would be much more receptive to the idea if it came from our doctor, rather than a stranger on the Internet, however legitimate.  For me, it’s not a money issue...more a safety, privacy issue. 

At any rate, good luck with your search.  I know how difficult it was to find anything about CAH when my child was first diagnosed, so am glad to see the condition mentioned in more reference books.  I also know how helpful photos were in driving home certain points to me, in the medical texts that I looked at.
