AimeeHey Shelia,
When did you find out about your thyroid condition? after the kids?
Do you know the origin of your hypothyroid condition? or the TSH level? it just a thyroid conditon where the thyroid just went to hypothyroid (very common) or like Hashimoto’s disease where the thyroid goes hypo/normal/hyper tired/normal/crazy or something like that and this is also common in a genetic sense. Zoloft antidepressants only make it worse : )
Girlfriend did you even have any genital surgery? Kidding! For one person or another it’s so very different based on the degree of virilization. Did you have a C-section? only answer if you want to. The word intersex means to you? ...and did you know that there is a doctor out there that finds it a major deal that we can actually find someone ... heck and that having kids are supposed to be rare lol I think of you every time I read all of that, some doctor tells me this or everytime some married man gives me his number which of course never call.
Like you I have osteopenia and take fosomax for it. I think that we have the advantage of knowing there are drugs out there to help w/ the bone density loss.
I think CAH on it own is fine thanks to the medical knowledge and screening more kids are able to live unlike your sister and that is where you get the people coming CAH? Yep no big deal even with the possible side effects of the medications plus good family support and/or doctors that actually share the information that you need instead of sheltering you from it for your own protection? about your own body? Ok this is different from someone not wanting to know But where the trouble comes in is not only the CAH but also the possibility of a having a cluster of other conditions that may or may not be indirectly be related to the CAH or medication.
Best Wishes,
Aimee
