Someone born like me has in your words a "H****Di** " which is your concern lets be real just like the other parents who wrote ewww gross lets be real lol come on lol my post was directed to LisaS and she answered it. You do speak for yourself and I do like that but i write to Lisa because not everyone feels like what they were born with was a deformity and when someone write that another speaks for all with CAH it’s like ummmm nope. I like you Cherry and I’ve always enjoyed your posts. Dr. and Nurses terminology does vary from and from a very good nurse "ambiguous genitals look weird" to the definition of genitals born outside of the norm = Intersex and the term Intersex is used on the Cornell Urology web site refering to CAH, to some Docs using the term ambiguous, to other Docs just using the word genitals and it isn’t a distinction from other genitals but just the way this kid came down the pike and treating the adrenal condition is a separate thing. These Docs don’t attach any label tothe external and also agreed the any surgey this is a medical need infections, blockage etc. is of course a necessity but leave the rest of it for the patient to decide like the surgeons Lisa had for her child. I was only looking for verification from Lisa because based on the type of surgery that she had for her child I wondered why she wrote what she did : ) Cherry you are a great lady and yes you are "CLEAR my stance on it" it’s all good. Nothing you say would ever offend me.
Anyone wonder why Chris only wanted of ambiguous genitals and not any pictures after surgery? or didn’t want pictures of adrenal glands? Didn’t know that boys have CAH also? Chris wasn’t interested in adrenal rest tissue, pictures of possible short statue, hairtustism (sp?), excessive acne, stretch marks pictures? Why the pics weren’t for the Endocrinology chapter and do you think this book will have anything on adrenal crisis under the genital pics?
