AimeeDear Cherry,
I think really expressing feeling about all of CAH will blow it forward and move the condition passed Oh my gosh some of them girls with it are born like gasp THAT! because then maybe all of us and boys with CAH will have much much better medical care not saying we don’t now but it could be better.
OH the trauma of being born like you were and what may be missed is that excessive cortisone or dosing in general may make your thyroid actually go on the warpath : )
I’m glad you are wrting to the Intersex Society and of you show the passion in your posts like you do with me then they’ll get you besides they don’t like picture taking either. So you do have something in common : )
I think using the prader is a pretty good term myself and I’m upset when people say things when they lack the knowledge. Like the nurse that said to my face ambiguous genitals look weird but she also said it was a trauma to parents and those born like that. Which was alot for her to assume because that would mean that she would have to meet all parents and all people born like me. It wasn’t a trauma to me or my adoptive parents it was just yep and surgery needed sooner or later.
Again if this book really wants to represent CAH and the authors are going the picture route then why only the ambiguous pictures? think about it.
Wolverine been a lab rat too lol
