Dex and Pregnancy

Taking the dex is more than preventing outward virulization of baby girls - which in my opinion is not a big deal - but is also meant to prevent the possible abnormalities in the urethra, urethers, etc. This - to me - IS a big deal, as problems in the UT can cause bladder infections, kidney problems, even eventual menstruation/fertility problems. Also, there is the controversial THEORY about the "masculinization of the fetal brain" in utero, and all that that might mean concerning gender identity, etc.

I took dex all the way through my pregnancy with my SW daughter, and although the side-effects were miserable, I’d do it again in a heartbeat: my almost 8 yr old dd was not virulized at birth, has a normal urinary tract, and is "all girl". Good luck!
