We had a doctor’s appointment today. I told him that I had some concerns about my 3 year olds penis and pubic hair. He took one look and his face dropped and it scared me to death. He said that he needed to get some blood to run labs and after that he would probably do a CT on the adrenal glands to see what the problem was. He told me not to worry that we would work fast to correct the imbalance. The results will be back in less than a week. I asked him about Lupron and the effects that it could have and he said that Lupron was for something different that it wouldn’t help here. He said that Cameron had grown down there almost a whole inch since his last visit 4 months ago.  When we were at the other endo all he had was weight problems. He was never where he needed to be and severly underweight and under the normal percentage. Now he weighed in at 41 pounds today and the doctor said that it could be good and it could be bad that he was gaining weight steadily. His face today when he looked at Cameron really bothered me. I told him that I had some concerns because a 3 year old shouldn’t have that much pubic hair. At I had some questions about it being the size that it is. He said that we would get to the bottom of it and we would work as quickly as possible to fix whatever the problem is. He told me to call him with any questions. I am a huge "what if" person so all of the questions that I have can be asked after the test results come back and we know a little more. The endo explained to me that it looks like an excessive amout of aldesterone. I’m worried that I’m not doing something right. Mainly his meds. He’s on a high dose of Cortef, already. Sorry if this sounds like a vent on a blog somewhere but, I just feel like I have no idea what is going on.
