We celebrated Sunday, since the Fourth itself is usually occupied with drunken morons shooting fireworks at cars and houses, while the police ignore them. We managed to finally get to sleep around 1am last night, which gave me 2 1/2 sleep before having to wake up to fix Linda her breakfast. I dread the fourth every year, because it’s always the same thing.

I hear the plan next year is for the city to charge people a $20 permit to pop fireworks in the city limit, but since most everyone does it already while the police ignore them, I don’t really see how that will change anything other than the city making some money off some gullible people. I imagine it’ll keep the fire fighters busy.
