AimeeHi Carrie ,
You don’t have to be sorry I wrote a post to someone and put my name instead. I don’t sweat the small stuff but was gets me concerned is this stuff like LUPUS and I’m glad you wrote back I’ve been looking into the autoimmune diseases since being diagnosed with celiac sprue and now this hashimoto so this lupus??? Humm and also looked at the rheumatoid arthritis also. I had a medical friend tell me that celiac sprue hung out on the same gene as CAH be that was the 21- hydroxylase defiency (I have 11-hydroxylase defiency) but anyway this all got me thinking what other genetic quirks are in there just waiting to come out and is there any relation to CAH or in general the hapless adrenal gland that needs outside assistance? and does any other conditoin have to do with cortisol function? Like the hashimotos is linked to stress....adrenal disfunction/ exhaustion ? but is also a very known common conditon. I really choked up a furr ball when I saw CAH on that other board but thinking about it know maybe it is known to us but the majority of the population doesn’t even know about it even though what 1 in 60 of people with Jewish decent have it and 1 in 34 of Hispanic decent have it - I might of messed up on the numbers there but I am close. It is fabulous to know that some of us girls with CAH play with trucks, I liked doll houses myself and that some of us girls might be flying the rainbow flag but for me the must concern is what if at all any other conditions or diseases may come out because of cortisone function or just because on the same gene or cluster as CAH that isn’t worded right and I’m not a very scientific person even though tests say we are but I do like to see connection in things. I guess is that spatial ability?
When I read about the Lupus, my thoughts were I hope it all works out. I t is considered something treatable? I saw a movie about it once.
