SandyJenn,
My suggestion is to get copies of all your childs records (doctor, surgery, etc.) keep them on file and ALWAYS question. Since the age of 18 I have taken on many doctors (they are only human) and have always gotten second opions. If I dont seem satisfied with the results of my doctor, I usually find another specialist and fax him the records to review. This way you use all avenues and will get answers quickly. I dont know if people know this but there is a HUGE competition between doctors and the medical community. They only seek advise (if they seek at all) from less competition or comrades, but the problem is that they think alike. Don’t get me wrong, I love my doctors and believe deeply in medical advancements, but I realize the sad part is that it’s a business. So remember your son’s future health is in it’s crucial moments, dont put all your trust in one doctor, there is no commitment needed. By you having all your childs medical records puts you in charge of his future medical needs!!!!
