Sorry you’ve been having such a hard time - I’ve been thinking about you and your friend/her family.

Anyway - I’ve got an appointment to have an ultrasound of my adrenals, and am waiting to see an endocrinologist who will further explore why my cortisol levels are so high. I’ve got slightly high BP, and have had a rapid heart rate for the last year or so. I’ve NOT had trouble with my thyroid or glucose levels ... everything else seems fine.

DH and I were wondering out loud the other night, whether all the problems I had with taking dex while pregnant with Dd may have screwed up my adrenal glands (as well as my heart and ears - sheesh). I was told that the dex. had effectively ’shut down" my own adrenal glands while on the dex .... I’m wondering if they never did recover completely, and if that has caused some hypertrophy of my adrenals as they try to compensate. Will be interesting to see what the drs can turn up.
