I also wanted to share this bit with you. My faith was quite shaky after my daughter was born. I questioned "why?" a million times over. So for a while there it was hard for me to seek out any help with God. One day when she was about 3 or four she was ragging with a fever. It was from some virus. I was home alone with her. We live in the country so neighbors are not a few feet away. I had given her everything possible to help her. I called her ped., AND her endo. They told me that I knew her better than they did, and her present condition, so I needed to decide the next step. Either bring her into the E.R. an hour away, or stay home and let the meds. work to bring the high fever down. Well nothing was working. I was so exhausted and terrified of loosing her. I walked into a room to pray for a minute. Still on shaking ground with my faith and I asked for help. Feeling defeated, I got up and even said out loud, "Why did I just pray? You probably aren’t even real." I took my daughter out for some fresh cool air and within minutes she responded well to the meds. and her fever came down. She perked up and asked for McDonalds. The next day I went to my mail box to find a card a friend had sent me. I opened the card and almost dropped it. It said, "Believe, God is always with you." It took my breath away. I called the friend who sent it and asked her if she ran into anyone that knew we had a rough day the day before. She said she didn’t. She said she was reading this book called "Daily Bread" and it suggested she send a card to someone she was thinking about that day. She said me and my daughter popped into her mind so she got up and mailed that particular card to us. That was a huge turning point in my faith. To this day I keep that card on my fridge as a reminder, that no matter how bad it gets, God is always with me.Laura
