Funny you should post that about getting the endo to change the dosage.  My 16 yr old daughter is on Cortef 3 times a day (15 mg, 10mg, 20mg).  She used to take it twice and did quite well.  Several months ago her 17OHP came back high and they put that middle dose in.  Well, she has gained back a few lbs she had lost and diets to the extreme to try to loose a few lbs.  While she has gotten a little smaller, her face stayed round.  Also, when she tries to eat normally, she eats everything in sight.    went to the endo’s office and had the nurse practioner fill out the lab slip.  When the endo got the results she couldn’t remember ordering the workup - she didn’t, I did!!!  Anyway, the 17OHP was down to 20 and the Cortisol level high, so   was right in my suspicion that she was being oversupressed.  The dr said to stop the mid-day dose and come back for labs in 3 months - unless I noticed a problem before then!
