RobbieHello-
Our daughter’s endo retired quite suddenly and as we all know, the endo is such an important part of managing cah. We’ve had some suggestions to look into UCSF, Stanford and Oakland Children’s Hospital and was wondering if you folks out there had any suggestions for our family. Obviously a crucial time for us in terms of a quick and smooth transition as she is only 3 months old and we are still trying to get her levels down from her birth. I should add we were at CPMC and while we were happy with the endo, the system there was horrible in terms of blood draws, etc. as they were not well equipped to deal with taking blood from a baby. Our endo had to routinely set up docs through personal connections to ensure we had blood drawn properly (side story-the first time, which quickly became the last, we were sent to the general lab for a blood draw, after being told that these folks knew what they were doing, they literally were about to attempt to draw the quantity of blood needed for cah level tests through a heel prick. Unreal).
Thanks for any suggestions.
