re: A new method for treating CAH?

Dear Kathy,

I was hoping some body developed that idea when I saw a friend of mine with one for his diabetes. He said it was the best invention he had ever seen.

I printed off your story, for my endo at the Mayo Clinic, Dr. Nina Natt, and I also e-mailed a copy to my other endo in Green Bay, Wisc., Dr. Gail Kasdorf. I am sure both will be very interested.

I am 51 years old, and I am one of the first few who didn’t die because they had developed the cortisone for something else and found out it worked for SWCAH, which then was just called adrenal insuffuciancy. My brother Dennis born 1-1/2 years before me died from it, as they had no cure. He lived 14 days, they got me to the University of Michigan Hospital, in Ann Arbor Michigan, on my 13th day.

If your doctor  would like to do a trial on an old patient, I would welcome the opportunity to try it and help out if possible in any way. I have suffered from this disease a lot over the years, and if I can or could do something to help some child from having to go through the things I have, I would do it in a heart beat.  I didn’t have children of my own because I was afraid they would have this disease, and I didn’t want to put some one else through it. But GOD blessed me with a wife who had two daughters, and that has been wonderful.

Feel free to e-mail me if you or your doctor wish.
