Our son seems to have it pretty easy too.

Our son is 8 and we have not had him to the hospital since he was just a year old. He takes 1/2 a 5mg cortef in the morning and a 5mg pill in the afternoon and before bed. He’s the same size at most of the boys at school and on his ball team ( and even bigger then some of them). He has not had a salu-cortef shot in three years and has only had four in his entire life.

I don’t think of him as a "sick" child. I know that we have to take special care of him when it comes to sickness and keep a closer eye on him then we do our other kids but it’s really not as bad as it was when he was a baby.

Really I feel blessed when I read some of the stories here. We are a luckey few that have "healthy" CAH kids. I can only pray for the same for the others.
