hi there! my son is 18 months old and also has swcah. he is on a 7am-3pm-10pm schedule. we put him to be at 8 pm and then wake him up to give meds, change diaper and take about 3 oz of milk. the whole process takes approx. 10 minutes and he goes straight back to sleep. of course, that is all he knows since we have been doing that routine since he was 12 days old.

concerning the irritability ??, we wondered the same things. sometimes still do. for example, today before lunch, he was sooooo fussy. we recently went down on his florinef dose and were told that one of the signs of salt wasting is irritability, so we should be on the lookout for it. hmmm. what do you do??? we put him down for a nap and when he woke up he was fine. it IS so tough to know. i can’t wait until he can talk and articulate how he is feeling. one word of encouragement..............i was exactly where you were one year ago. i can say that even 18 months is easier than 8 so i can see how dealing with this gets easier as they grow. best of luck to you guys!!
