A specialist in the field of alternative medicine once told me that with energy in her hands she can figure out if a person is pregnant as well as being able to tell the sex of the fetus and other factors of the unborn baby.  Although I understand this is not reasonable in place of a CVS or amnio, I would consider going this route if I were to decide to go through a pregnancy without doing a CVS and taking prenatal treatment.  At least it would give me the chance of possibly being prepared for what may come, as well as knowing in advance if my baby is a boy or girl.  In case it would turn out to be inaccurate, it still wouldnt be the end of the world.

Being that my knowledge in alternative medicine is pretty limited, I would be interested to hear from others who know more about the techniques out there and what is reliable.
