stress?

Cathy, when you mention stress, do you mean physical stress or mental stress?

With myself, mental stress is a breeze.  I’ve worked in the news business on the news desk and that can be like working in an inferno some days if it is busy.  On the other hand, I’m not too good with physical stress, so I’ve been able to avoid doing the in field stuff for the past several years which I’m very happy about.  It’s fun and all, but it’s very hard work and exceptionally long days which wipes me out.  Even little things can be a problem, but I’m not sure it is related to CAH as I’ve had serious physical injuries in the past.  I do admit to using the CAH as an excuse for not being able to work overnights on the occasion events require someone there as I believe it would be wreak havoc on my body due to the med scheduling.

I occasionally struggle with a bit of depression and found the natural supplement SAM-e to be most beneficial.  It works quickly--often taking effect after only a few days and stopping it is not a problem like it is with chemicals.

I’ve also recently begun to take vitamin B-12 supplements which helps.  When I got sick earlier this summer, it was discovered I’m running a bit low on it and it was recommended and it helps tons for my mental alertness and energy during the day.

It is my belief that diet has a lot to do with how you react to stress as well.

And at age 20, maybe he simply doesn’t know what he wants to do yet?  Can I suggest the book, "What color is my parachute" for him?
