Amy- My son’s endo has told me to put it in his thigh and not all the needle. But, the school nusre says that it is a IM Injection which means that you have to pull back on the needle to make sure that you dont have blood. But I asked my Peds Endo and she said that as long as you give it to him in his thigh he will be fine. I have given him his injections about 4 times now and he is only 4. And what I have done is grab his thigh and squeese it and put the injection needle about half way and then pull it out. I know it is the hardest thing that I have ever had to do but i did it and i felt terrible cause i made him cry but you know atleast it saved his life in his many crisis. But i do hope that you never have to do the Injection. Take care and i hope that you get the anwers that you need. Misty
