Mine is a boy who is 8 yrs old with SWCAH. Our endo said yes stress has a big part in CAH. Just like physical stress mental stress can cause a crisis also. She explained about being in school and taking a final exam, a family member passing away, losing your pet. Just some examples. He is my grandson and both of his parents are out of his life. His mother dropped him off at my door step 6 years ago and never came back.  His dad (my son) has not been around in the 6 yrs either. Unless he is down on his luck and needs money or something. This upsets him when he does see his dad because he never knows when he will return. The endo has suggested seeing a therapist about coping with CAH on how to deal with the condition and also for the stress. Not sure this is the answer to your question but somethings he deals with.
