aimeeCathy,
I’ve ditched jobs also because some remark was made which could of been made to anyone without CAH also BUT with feeling fragile ...ok less than because of the CAH, I would cut and run...gosh I’ll get a compliment at work and sometimes also will assume the worst. My issues and not the one that made the comment. I have below what I hope is a parent friendly way to give an example that could be about someone with CAH or not.
Cathy, I don’t know how tall your son is but I was at a restaurant that was where all the locals hung out. A Cheers sort of place if you ever saw that show. One of the freakish tall ; ) but very good natured customers was giving friendly ribbing to one of the employees for being short no different than he ever gave to his own friends. It got to be a little to much and the employee told him this in a nice way but I could see the look..feel... panic in his eyes the same way I feel being near or surprised by two or more medical people..it isn’t a good feeling. The employee panicked mumbled something and got away. The customer who considered the employee like one of his friends was really confused over what happened.
Is something like this going on?
