Actually we tried to do it but no one in USA is doing it. the only instituation we found was in England BUT we couldn’t be able to send my blood to England because the labs here said they could not do it.

i did not want to have CVS and i wanted to cut off the Dex treatment once we learn the gender of the baby (I’m 12 week, started dex on the 5th week, and weaned yesterday from Dex -baby is a boy!-)

the lab’s web address is: http://www.bloodnet.nbs.nhs.uk/ibgrl/

there is a doctor in USA doing research on this (diagnosing baby’s gender by looking at mother’s blood in 7th week)  : Dr. Diane Bianchi but she told us she could not tell the gender because of the research purposes. http://www.tufts.edu/home/feature/?p=bianchi

but what has been said to us is that if your previous child was a male (or you had a miscarriage of a baby boy) the test result is not reliable because you may still have his chromosomes in your blood.
