I started the Dex at exactly 6 weeks into my pregnancy.  The information that I gathered says the earlier, the better, but I think that the absolute cutoff date is around 9 weeks.  This is because the baby’s genitalia begins to form around this time period.

Although there are no LONG term studies available - they do have some information on people in their 20’s whose mothers took the Dex.  Most of that information concludes that there were no long term problems with the prenatal medication.

Discuss this with your doctor - but ultimately it is a decision that is up to YOU!
