Julia sounds right to me.  A blood sugar test should be part of the regular blood tests every time. That is usually why you have to fast before a blood test.  The doctor should be made aware of this if he isn’t already.  I think test should be done every 3 months to six months if possible.

 

The other reason could be if the child isn’t eating something when they take the medication. It can, and will give you an upset stomach and sometimes a headache, especially when you are young and fairly new to the medication.
