I was just wondering if there are any connections between CAH and Diabetes. My husband and I both have relatives that are diabetic and there is another family that lives in our town that has the same.

Also, I went home to Albany this past week. I haven’t been home in almost 2 years and I really needed to visit my great grandparents especially with my great grandfather’s health in bad shape. I went to go see him Wednesday afternoon and took my 2 boys one of which is named after him. He was in the hospital and was having somewhat of a difficult day with physical therapy and all. He opened his eyes for about 30 seconds looked at me and said "there’s Jennifer." He had been diagnosed as legally blind and was a hard core diabetic. At 89 years old he held on as long as he could and 6 hours after I left the hospital he died. My grandmother said that he never said anything after my visit with him. It was almost like he was waiting for us to come and see him. My visit wasn’t even planned, I had a couple of days off so I went down there to surprise my family. I feel horrible that I didn’t visit more but, I was glad that I went when I did. It’s amazing how things work that way. There are 5 generations on that side of the family and at the funeral they are putting up a huge portrait of all 5 generations.
