TamiDear Kirk,
I really contacted the most famous doctors around...
Dear Bo,
You are so kind! But you will not believe; I exactly contacted him (Prof. Janos Solyom), my daughter is at the II. Pediatric Clinics of Semmelweis University - he is the best CAH specialist in our country; he learned from the famous Maria New in NY); in Budapest he told me these words...
Dear Terri,
I have not had the CVS yet; I plan to have it at week 10-12. Our endo have doubts that the genetic counsellor will be able to tell from the CVS if the fetus has CAH due to poor lab background/possible technical problems.
Dear Lisa D,
Your messega gives me some hope; the genetic counsellor was not able to tell us for sure the exact mutation our daughter has from her blood. She told us that she needs to see our (me and my husban) blood as well. The fact that the genetic counsellor was not able to determine the mutation made our endocrinologist think that she is probably not competent enough.
Dear Beth D,
I wish you were right!!!
Anyway thank you all for your replies and encouragements; I will be participating (and be the subject of - CAH seems to be very rare here) a consillium (I hope the spelling is right and the word exists) with OBGYns and endocrinologists next week; I hope I will know more...
Kind regards and best wishes:
Tami
